Why Something Small Catering?

Something Small Catering was developed to fill the gap in Columbia’s catering market for smaller guest lists.  We want to bring a food experience for those small guest lists that are beyond restaurant and grocery store party trays and help you celebrate that special moment with as much attention to detail as a larger catered event.

What is the minimum number of guests you cater to?

Our guest minimum is 6 guests.

What is the maximum number of guests you cater to?

Our guest maximum is usually 60 guests. We may be able to accommodate larger parties, so do not hesitate to contact us.

Do you cater lunches?

Yes, we love to cater lunches! We have a seasonal lunch menu that include boxed lunches, salads, and sandwich trays. You can find our seasonal menu here! AND with our lunch menu, we are able to cater larger events.

What type of foods do you cater?

We do not specialize in one type of food or style of catering.  We curate the menu for you and your guests tastes with high quality, homemade foods and flavors that complement each other.

Where is your menu?

We do not have a set menu.  You can view some sample menus on our website from previous catered events or follow us on Instagram where we post about the different events we cater.

What type of menus do you create?

Each menu depends on you, your guests, and your preferences.  They are created just for you. You can view some sample menus here.

Do you provide serving ware?

For our full-service option, all serving ware is provided.  Our food setup level provides the option for serve ware rentals. 

What are your prices?

Gourmet Sandwich Trays are priced at $290 which include sandwiches, a side, dessert, and chips, and feed 18-20 people. Food setup and Full-service are priced per person and start at $26 per person.  Dessert service also starts at $18 per person.

What forms of payment do you take?

We accept cash, credit, or check.

When is payment due?

At the time of booking, a 50% deposit is due.  This secures your date and is credited to your total balance. The remaining balance is due ONE week prior to the event. 

Do you accommodate food allergies?

During our consultation, we discuss food allergies, and will create a menu accordingly.  We take every precaution to prevent cross contamination, but we work in a shared facility, so we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens within the facility. 

How far in advance do I need to book?

As with any event, the sooner you secure your date, the better.  We may be able to accommodate last minute bookings so do not hesitate to call and inquire, but payment must be received in full at the time of booking.

What type of services do you provide?

We provide a range of services ranging from food trays and lunch boxes to full-service catering. 

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, we are licensed with DHEC and carry catering insurance.
